The club recently hosted on Saturday May 2 our annual Open Day where we invite members of the public into our grounds to look around our club and have a try of bowling. With the weather being kind we had many visitors this year and over 30 people tried bowling with the help of our members who attended - thanks to you all for making it such a successful day for the club. Many of these new bowlers followed up 4 days later by attending the initial 2026 session of coaching and tuition. Ultimately in time we hope most of these new bowlers become welcomed new members of our club.

Alan has recently qualified as a Bowling Coach and will be heading the coaching for members old and new this season.
100th Anniversary Dinner
60 members attended an evening meal at Sfizio’s Restaurant in Ware on Monday March 30 to celebrate the Official One Hundredth Anniversary of The Ware Bowling Club being formed. Club President Hugh Mason made the opening speech and Brian Stockwell as the longest serving member, who joined the club in 1981, the closing speech. A very enjoyable evening was had by all. The Chelsea Pensioners will be sending a team to WBC on 24th June to Celebrate our Anniversary. It will be an honour for our club to be their hosts for the day.
